Process piping in an industrial hall, light filtering in through a window

Project management for piping and installation contracts

Handover documentation ready the same day as the work.

The welder signs off a weld with one tap, and the handover package grows as the work progresses – not in the last week.

The problem

The last week of the contract.

The welders are already on the next site, and someone in the office is trying to find out who welded weld 7 on line 14, and with which filler. The paper eventually turns up under a coffee mug.

Information is not lost for good – it goes missing quietly. First someone has to notice that something is missing, then find out what and where.

How it works

One weld.
One tap.

01 / 04 A number on the pipe in marker. It has always been done that way, and it still will be.
02 / 04 The welder opens the weld on a phone with a field account. A code and a PIN – no M365 account needed.
03 / 04 One tap and the weld is signed off. On the drawing it turns green.
04 / 04 The handover package grows as the work progresses. A finished site is frozen, and the client downloads the material.

Savings

What assembling it afterwards costs.

Example: a documentation person for two months, 12 hours a day, €80 an hour. Move the sliders to match your own contract.

In Sampo Industrial the handover material is created from entries made during the work – there is no assembly phase.

≈ €40,320 42 working days × 12 h × €80/h = €40,320 That is time when the work is already done and someone is searching for what was done and who did it.

Modules

Every module stands on its own, and yet they all talk to each other.

  • 01Weld log
  • 02Equipment installation
  • 03Defects
  • 04Time tracking and resourcing
  • 05Tools with QR stickers
  • 06Messages and onboarding (Academy)

Coming: ventilation installation and other industrial work that needs documentation. One site can have several of our customers – we are building the system so that information flows between them too.

Pricing

You pay for what actually gets done on site.

The price is a fixed base fee plus what your projects actually do. The monthly bill follows the site: when the welding stops, so does the weld fee.

Base fee

€300 / month + €15 per browser account / month

Browser accountsBase fee
5€375 / month
10€450 / month
25€675 / month
50€1,050 / month

Browser accounts are users who sign in with email: office, supervisors, inspectors and the client’s representatives.

Weld fee

For welds logged during the month, in tiers.

Welds per month€ / weld
1–5002.40
501–1,0002.25
1,001–1,5002.15
1,501–2,0002.00
over 2,0001.90

Each tier is charged at its own price. For example, a month with 1,200 welds:
500 × 2.40 + 500 × 2.25 + 200 × 2.15 = €2,755

If you prefer, the weld fee can also be a flat €2.30 per weld.

Project fee

€150 / month

For each active project. The fee ends at the end of the month after the last field entry.

Field accounts are free, and there is no limit on how many.

Welders log on their phone with a code and a PIN. We don’t charge for logging; it’s tedious enough already.

What it costs in practice

10 browser accounts and one project:

Project paceTotal / monthAll fees / weld
300 welds / month€1,320€4.40
800 welds / month€2,475€3.09
1,500 welds / month€4,000€2.67
2,500 welds / month€5,950€2.38

Call-outs and short jobs

  • A call-out without documentation is included in the base fee.
  • A call-out with documentation: €150 / month (up to 99 welds or 3 devices, minimum 1 month). Replaces the project and weld fees.

Importing old records

  • €1 per weld, one-off. For example from Excel or hand-filled forms.

Always included

  • Onboarding: your own instance, preparation of the data import, and training. No setup fee.
  • Updates and support.
  • Export your data to Excel at any time. The data is yours.

Terms in brief

  • Prices exclude VAT.
  • The base fee is billed in advance; other fees are billed afterwards based on actual use.
  • The 12-month commitment applies to the base fee only.
  • Project and weld fees can be passed on to the client as project costs.

What we promise

Only what has been proven.

You pay for work done, not for licence seats. Field accounts are always free. In the offer we tell you plainly who usually needs a browser account.

  1. 01Every weld has its own identifier.
  2. 02Many people can edit the same information at the same time, without file locks.
  3. 03Every change a user makes is recorded in the change log.
  4. 04When data is imported from Excel, a correction made by a person is not overwritten.
